Saudi Arabia’s flynas has announced launching new destinations from its main base in Madinah to Bahrain and Doha as of September 10.

The airline will operate three weekly flights between Madinah airport and Bahrain International Airport in Manama as of September 10. In addition, it will operate two weekly flights between Madinah airport and Doha starting September 12.

The new destinations will join the network of international destinations operated by flynas from Madinah, including Istanbul, Ankara, Dubai, Amman and Cairo.

Earlier this month, flynas also launched its first direct flight between Riyadh and El-Alamein International Airport on the north coast of Egypt.

This expansion falls in line with the airline’s strategic growth and expansion plan, launched under the title ‘We Connect the World to the Kingdom’, which supports the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy.

The Kingdom’s strategy aims to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 100 million tourists annually by 2030.  In addition, the supports the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the two holy mosques.

Notably, flynas connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1,500 weekly flights. The airline has flown more than 78 million passengers since its launch in 2007 and it aims to reach 165 domestic and international destinations.
