This 17-rank leap among 83 countries highlights the Kingdom’s swift advancement in AI adoption and development.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia’s ongoing leadership in the Government Strategy sub-pillar reinforces its status as a global AI powerhouse, SPA reported. Its seventh-place ranking in the Commercial Ecosystem sub-pillar further illustrates its dedication to investing in AI technologies and nurturing a vibrant AI ecosystem.
Comprehensive assessment of AI capabilities
The Global AI Index offers a thorough evaluation of AI capabilities across 83 nations, assessing performance based on 122 indicators divided into three main pillars: Implementation, Innovation, and Investment. Additionally, these pillars break down into seven sub-pillars: Talent, Infrastructure, Operating Environment, Research, Development, Government Strategy, and Commercial Ecosystem.
