Turki Al Al-Shikh, chairman of the board of directors for the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and advisor, announced the launch of the Boulevard Business Park project in the Boulevard City area. This marks the inaugural phase of an urban redevelopment and reorganization plan for the Boulevard District, developed in partnership with the private sector, with investments surpassing SAR1 billion.

Urban redevelopment

The project aims to become a vibrant hub that aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting entrepreneurs and national companies in the creative industries. Al Al-Shikh highlighted that this initiative, in collaboration with GEA, seeks to redesign the Boulevard District to create an interconnected urban environment featuring new pathways. Additionally, it will enhance green spaces and integrate them with nearby developments like the sports track, improve parking facilities, and connect to major roads and public transport systems to ease access for visitors and employees.

This initiative is further designed to promote growth and sustainability in the Kingdom by generating new job opportunities and fostering an innovative urban atmosphere that merges creativity with work-life enjoyment, ultimately enhancing the quality of life. It aims to introduce a new real estate offering that meets the demands of the evolving creative job market and bolsters sector growth in the Kingdom.

Fostering entrepreneurship and creativity

Dr. Rakan Al-Harthy, managing director of Sela, explained that the company is leading this initiative in partnership with the REQ Real Estate Fund – Saudi Fransi Capital and Hilal Real Estate Development Company. He further noted that the project serves as a model for achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through collaborations with the private sector.

Moreover, the development will feature nine office buildings with commercial spaces overlooking the Boulevard City fountain. The first phase will introduce a creative work resort designed to cater to both global and national companies focused on creativity and the arts.

Innovative workspaces and amenities

The project will span more than 60,000 square meters of rental space, featuring corporate headquarters, co-working areas for entrepreneurs, retail shops, concept stores for both local and international brands, an outdoor exhibition space for art, a fitness center, a wellness spa, a rooftop infinity pool, lush hanging gardens, and over 1,300 designated parking spots.
