A 330-meter-tall skyscraper will be a central part of the Trojena ski resort at Neom in Saudi, it was revealed at Cityscape Global.
It is designed by UK studio Zaha Hadid Architects and master planned by German studio LAVA architects.
It will be built on a mountain opposite the main ski area, and will overlook an artificial lake that will form the centerpiece of the leisure development.
The skyscraper was designed to show a crystal-like structure made of numerous columns. The highrise tapers towards the peak and will be connected to the lakeside development and activities via a cable car.
Full details of the building’s mix use areas have not been made public. However, project materials revealed that the skyscraper will contain shops, restaurants and exhibition spaces along with observation decks at three different levels.

“Elegant and monumental, this iconic tower will combine high-end retail, dining and the dream-like experience of living in the clouds,” read a display at Cityscape.
“This iconic commercial, high-rise tower will provide a rich platform for groundbreaking and tech-infused artistic content and experiences.”
Trojena is one of the four regions of Neom and features ski slopes along with numerous hotels and other attractions. It is slated for completion prior to Saudi’s potential hosting of the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
Trojena will encompass a variety of activities, including sports competitions, artistic exhibitions, musical performances, and cultural celebrations. It expects 700,000 visitors and a population of 7,000 permanent residents by 2030.
During the NEOM Future of Living Summit held at the main stage of Cityscape Global, NEOM presented detailed models of The Line, Trojena, Sindalah, and Oxagon.
Speaking of skyscrapers, Saudi this year unveiled plans for an imposing, 400-meter tall, cube-shaped skyscraper in Riyadh large enough to hold 20 Empire State Buildings.
The Mukaab will be the centerpiece of a new 19 km2 district called Murabba that’s set to comprise over 25 million m2 of floor area and create 104,000 homes.
