Saudi capital Riyadh will host today the three-day “Future Aviation Forum” (FAF), organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The event represents a significant turning point in the civil aviation industry both locally and globally, as it highlights GACA’s effort to standardize health-related processes and practices in order to enable the sector’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
More than 50 agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed, worth billions, in addition to launching several important policies and strategies for the sector.
The forum received a great and important global response, adding that 60 countries and 2,000 individuals will participate in the global gathering while the registration to the conference has topped 4,000.
Also, FAF focuses on three main themes: “Innovation, growth, and sustainability as key and influential axes in the civil aviation industry.”
Moreover, it offers $100 billion worth of investment opportunities.
By 2030, Saudi aims to increase air connectivity to 250 destinations, reaching 330 million passengers, and double air cargo capacity to 4.5 million tons.
