The Saudi Crown Prince is currently on an official visit to France, where he met French President Emmanuel Macron last Friday. A French presidential source announced on Thursday that France supports Saudi Arabia’s hosting of Expo 2030.

The Saudi Cultural Mission to France and Switzerland announced on Twitter that the Kingdom is hosting an official reception to present its bid to host Expo.

The reception is one of the important events that countries hold in their bid to host the event, with representatives from the Bureau International des Expositions in attendance. The vote to choose the host city for this global event will take place in November.

An exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the reception, where attendees will take a virtual trip to Riyadh in 2030, showcasing projects that will be ready before the launch of Expo 2030.

The exhibition highlights the unique geographical location of the Kingdom in the heart of the world, as well as its culture, heritage, and the weight of its economy and foreign policy, in addition to its distinctiveness.

The Expo 2030 Riyadh event will be held under the theme “Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow.”

The exhibition will include three sub-themes: “A Different Tomorrow,” “Climate Action,” and “Prosperity for All.” “A Different Tomorrow” focuses on the opportunities that innovations in science and technology provide for future transformations that strengthen resilience to challenges and serve humanity.

Additionally, “Climate Action” aims to drive innovation through international cooperation to conserve the ecosystem and natural resources by providing sustainable solutions to all countries. Meanwhile, the “Prosperity for All” theme seeks to address global disparities and imbalances by sharing the cultural perspectives, surrounding conditions, and aspirations of each country.

The global event in Riyadh aims to surpass the numbers recorded in the number of visitors by targeting 40 million visits to the exhibition. Registering more than 30-40 million visits to the site will be an unprecedented achievement in the Middle East, where “Expo 2020 Dubai” attracted 24 million visits over six months.
