Saudi Arabia’s ‘nusuk.sa’ platform for serving visitors to Makkah and Madinah concluded its first meeting and interactive exhibition in Dubai on Wednesday.

The platform highlighted its services and facilities via this event, which was attended by over 400 partners from the travel industry as well as Hajj and Umrah agencies.

“The UAE is considered one of the most important Gulf markets in the Umrah sector. The Kingdom is working to serve the Guests of Al Rahman by holding introductory meetings to build bridges of communication and cooperation. We aim through these meetings to facilitate the journey of Umrah performers and visitors from UAE citizens and residents,” Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority and Managing Director of Nusuk, said.

VR exhibition in Dubai

Nusuk has also organized an exhibition at the Dubai Festival City Mall, showcasing a virtual reality (VR) technology experience to visitors and tourists. The exhibition features a collection of distinctive Islamic historical stories and will continue until February 17.

In addition, one Nusuk-approved company is providing Umrah packages at a pavilion.

Nusuk platform to serve Guests of Al Rahman

Guests of Al Rahman is a Saudi Vision 2030 executive program, and embodies the Hajj and Umrah ministry’s integration and cooperation with multiple entities in the public, private and non-profit sectors. It aims to improve the services offered to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

What is the Nusuk platform?

Nusuk is a portal launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to develop the experience of the Guests of Al Rahman. The platform facilitates the procedures for their arrival to perform Umrah and visits from all over the world.

It brings together more than 200 partners and provides many services, such as accommodation, transportation, aviation, hospitality. It also helps in applying for an electronic visa, and facilitates the automation of arrival procedures to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque and Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, regardless of the type of visa they obtained.

Enhanced experience for UAE residents

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has announced several measures to enhance the experience of Umrah performers and visitors from the UAE. Notably, UAE residents can now perform Umrah using the multiple-entry e-visa. The visa extends their stay in the Kingdom to 90 days per year.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabian Airlines has launched three weekly flights from Dubai to Medina. It has also increased daily flights during the holy month of Ramadan.

FlyNas has recently made some changes to their flight schedule. They have allocated low-cost flights from Abu Dhabi to Jeddah and Medina. Additionally, there are now 29 weekly Dubai to Jeddah flights.
