In the presence of Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly, the Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Kazakh Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev joined together to sign an executive program for collaboration between the Saudi and Kazakh governments.

This program builds upon a memorandum of understanding that was signed by both countries in June 2023. It focuses on various energy sectors such as oil, natural gas, derivatives, petrochemicals, electricity, clean hydrogen, renewables, energy efficiency, and storage.
The program primarly targets implementing projects in Kazakhstan that revolve around renewable energy, innovation, and combating global warming. It also aims to support initiatives that align with the energy security and transformation goals, priorities, and commitments of both nations. The program also encompasses significant projects centered on energy production and storage, including electricity initiatives, which are expected to effectively contribute to the goals of both countries.
Furthermore, this program plays a role in supporting Kazakhstan’s efforts to achieve emissions reduction targets, including the goal of carbon neutrality by 2060. It also fosters collaboration between Saudi and Kazakh companies across various relevant fields.
